How do you look back on your cherished times, hardships and successes, your everyday routine, and notable moments? Is there a song or album that takes you back to a specific drive to school or home from work? Does your camera roll reveal forgotten moments of your summer?
The idea for this issue emerged as our editors found themselves in different cities over the summer. Our shared videos during discussions became significant frames of our everyday lives during that time apart. In Issue 08: Frames, the Source Material team asked students and alumni to explore the myriad ways we document and remember our lived experiences. We each capture moments we want to hold onto, and the way we choose to frame these memories influences how we recall them in the future.

We made Issue 07: Love about all things love! We’re excited to share with you the diverse stories of love shared by our contributing students, artists, and designers. From stories of their first love and crushes to spicy romance, these stories add up to what love means in each and every one of us—how each of us define it and feel it. Love excites us, strengthens us, supports us in times of need, and brings us together. In this issue, through the diverse accounts of love, we hope that you too will be fueled by much love, just like we have while we edited this issue. Shoot that shot you’ve been thinking about. Find the time to do something you love. We hope you will be filled with love in your life because there’s always room for some more love.
